 Dr. Jennifer Khoo

Tenth of August 2000 was an exciting day for the College because several functions were held on the same day in the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine Building.

The Hong Kong College of Radiologists conferred Honorary Fellowships to two distinguished radiologists, Professor Dai Jian-Ping and Professor Michael R. Sage. Professor Dai is the President of the Chinese Society of Radiology. Professor Sage is the President of the Asian & Oceanian Society of Neuroradiology and Head & Neck Radiology, and Past President of the Royal Australasian College of Radiologists.

This was followed by the Admission of Fellows of the College. 21 new Fellows were admitted.

The ceremonies were attended by many distinguished guests, including Dr. E.K. Yeoh, J.P., Secretary for Health and Welfare of the HKSAR, Dr. David Fang, President of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine, and presidents and representatives from other Colleges of the Academy.

The next highlight of the evening was the Ho Hung Chiu Lecture, delivered by Dr. E.K. Yeoh, entitled “Hippocrates in the 21st century”.

The College Dinner, which turned out to be an informal and enjoyable social occasion, was a fitting end to a busy, exciting and unforgettable day. “Certificates of Appreciation for Exceptional Contribution” were presented to two companies, Siemens Ltd and Bracco International, for their visionary and long term support for the College towards radiology education.
